Code of Conduct
LVCHA holds to standards that would be pleasing to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We represent LVCHA and ultimately, Jesus Christ in all that we do. Matthew 18 is the standard for conflict resolution within our Christian group.

Students and adults attending any LVCHA event are expected to:

• clean up after themselves
• use positive and respectful language in all interactions with adults and peers
• not bear false witness against another child or adult in LVCHA or when reporting incidents
• show respect to adults and/or leaders by listening to them, and following any rules & guidelines that have been given
• not to use tobacco products, alcohol, or illegal drugs
• refrain from public displays of affection (i.e. kissing, excessive contact)
• refrain from physical assault, unwanted touching, name calling, bullying, or other harmful behavior

Parents are responsible for the behavior and safety of their children at all LVCHA functions. There will be no tolerance for physical assault, unwanted touching, name calling, bullying, or other harmful behavior. Parents of misbehaving students will be notified of their child's conduct, and the child may be subject to progressive discipline as outlined in the Handbook.

Homeschool Statement
LVCHA is only open to families who are homeschooling at least one child who is age 5 or older as of September 1, 2026, as defined by Nevada state statute found here: NRS 388D.010-070.

According to the Nevada Homeschool Network, traditional homeschooling is when a parent files a Notice of Intent to Homeschool and assumes full legal responsibility for their child’s education. This means the parent—not the government or any public-school program—directs and controls the learning process. In this role, the parent serves as both teacher and principal: guiding instruction, determining when their child is ready to advance to the next grade, and ultimately issuing the diploma upon completion of K–12 education.

Will your family be homeschooling at least one child, 5 years of age or older, according to this standard?

Annual Dues: Dues are $125 per family (amount subject to change). These dues help cover a variety of expenses, including LVCHA events, website maintenance, insurance, background checks, and more. 

Please note that dues do not include Co-op classes, PE, field trips, Archery, or activities held at private venues. Dues and fees are non-refundable once the due date has passed.

I acknowledge that membership is approved only after dues are paid.

Volunteering: Our leaders rely on member participation to make many of our events possible. We ask each family to volunteer for at least one event per year. Some opportunities, like assisting with PE, involve a weekly commitment, while others – such as dances, special events, or field trips – are a one-time commitment.

For families who are unable or prefer not to volunteer, we offer a Volunteer Opt-Out Fee of $125 per year (subject to change). Please note, this fee does not apply to Co-Op classes.
